Twilight Council turn

Birdsong

Reveal

Reveal any number of cards face-up from your hand into your play area. Each revealed card unlocks four options you may use this round: Move (from a matching clearing), Recruit (1 warrior in a matching clearing), Battle (in a matching clearing), or Assemble (place a Closed assembly and any Loyalists in a matching clearing with no assembly).

  • Hint Two options discard the card when used: Battle discards if your assembly is in that clearing; Assemble discards if you don't rule the clearing. Plan your reveals around these costs.

Daylight

Sleep

Every assembly currently ruled by an enemy flips to Closed.

  • Hint A Governing assembly (tent open, in a clearing you rule) blocks enemy crafting, building, and token placement outside of battle. A Closed assembly provides none of those benefits and scores nothing at Oversee.

Evening

Convene Woodfolk

Return each revealed card one by one, choosing one action per card:

  • Banish (non-bird) — Initiate battle in a matching assembly clearing. Warriors you hit move to a destination you choose instead of being removed.
  • Agitate (non-bird) — Gain 1 Loyalist and flip one Closed assembly to Governing.
  • Empower (bird) — Choose any assembly, roll a battle die, remove that many of your warriors, then either bank them as Loyalists or score 1 VP if you rule the assembly.
  • Hint Banish moves hit warriors to a destination you name, ignoring rule — it does not remove them. You can exile threats across the map without handing opponents victory points for removed pieces.

Inspire

Craft cards from your hand using your assemblies as crafting pieces, or draw cards equal to the draw icons currently visible on your Assemblies track.

  • Hint The draw icons on your Assemblies track unlock as you place more assemblies. The more assemblies you have on the board, the more cards you draw each Evening.

Adjourn

Optionally remove any of your assemblies from the map. Then flip to Governing any assembly in a clearing where you rule.

  • Hint You must rule the clearing — more warriors than all opponents combined — to flip its assembly to Governing. Assemblies in clearings you don't rule stay Closed.

Oversee

Score victory points based on how many of your Governing assemblies share a clearing with any enemy building or token: 1 = 1 VP; 2–3 = 2 VP; 4 = 3 VP; 5–6 = 4 VP.

  • Hint Only Governing assemblies count. Closed assemblies — even in enemy-heavy clearings — contribute nothing at Oversee.
