Birdsong

Revolt (optional, repeatable)

In any clearing where you have a sympathy token — and no Alliance Base of that suit is already on the map — spend enough supporters of that clearing's suit to trigger a Revolt. Remove the sympathy token, remove all enemy pieces from that clearing (scoring 1 VP per piece removed), place your matching Base there, then place warriors from supply equal to your current Officers count.

  • Hint The Base you place must match the suit of the clearing where you Revolt. You cannot place a rabbit Base in a fox clearing, for example.
  • Hint Enemy pieces removed during a Revolt do not automatically give you supporters. Outrage is a separate trigger that applies when another faction removes your warriors from a sympathetic clearing or takes certain actions there — not from Revolt itself.
  • Hint The bird Base can be placed via Revolt in any sympathetic clearing as long as you spend a bird supporter card — the clearing's suit does not restrict you.

Spread Sympathy (optional, repeatable)

Place a sympathy token in a clearing adjacent to an existing sympathetic clearing (or any clearing if you have no sympathy yet) by spending supporter cards whose suit matches that clearing. You immediately score the VPs shown on the sympathy track for that token. The cost in supporters increases with each token already on the board.

  • Hint The more sympathy tokens you have already placed, the fewer remain in supply — and the higher the supporter cost for each new one. Spreading wide early is cheap; filling the last few slots is expensive.
  • Hint When another faction removes your warriors from a sympathetic clearing, or places a building or token there, that faction gives you one card of the clearing's suit from their hand, or the top card of the draw pile. Outrage turns your opponents' aggression into fuel for future Revolts and sympathy spreads.

Daylight

Craft (optional)

Use your sympathy tokens to craft cards from your hand. Each sympathy activates based on the suit of the clearing it occupies, just as a Workshop would.

  • Hint Sympathy tokens are your only crafting source. The wider your sympathy network, the more suit variety you can activate — prioritize spreading sympathy into clearings whose suits you want for crafting.

Military Operations (optional, repeatable)

Take a number of military actions up to your current Officers count. Each action may be Move (move warriors from one clearing to an adjacent one), Battle (initiate combat in a clearing where you have warriors), or Recruit (place 1 warrior from supply into any clearing with an Alliance Base).

  • Hint With 0 Officers you cannot take any military actions at all. Train during a previous Evening to gain the ability to move and fight.

Evening

Mobilize (optional, repeatable)

Move any card from your hand into your supporter stack, face down.

  • Hint Your supporter stack can hold at most 5 cards until all three Bases are on the map, at which point the cap rises to 10. Cards above the cap at the time you Mobilize must be discarded.

Train (optional, repeatable)

Discard a card from your supporter stack to recruit one Officer from your supply.

  • Hint Each Officer grants you one additional Military Action (Move, Battle, or Recruit) during your next Daylight. More Officers means more flexibility in how you maneuver your forces.

Draw Cards

Draw cards as shown on your faction board. Discard down to the hand limit (5) if you exceed it.

  • Hint The Woodland Alliance does not score VPs in Evening. You score immediately when placing sympathy tokens (Birdsong) and when removing enemy pieces during a Revolt.
