Background
Galadriel rules Lórien, the last remnant of Elven splendor east of the Misty Mountains — a hidden realm of golden mallorn trees where the Fellowship was sheltered and given gifts for the road ahead. She bears Nenya, one of the Three Rings, and with it she guards her land against the encroaching Shadow. On the board she begins in Lórien, deep in the heart of Middle-earth, surrounded by the Elven army (green) and close to the paths Frodo must walk.
She is the game's keeper of light. Where others swing swords, Galadriel works through gifts, foresight, and hope — the very things that keep Frodo's morale from slipping into despair. Her presence in Lórien anchors the Free Peoples in the center of the map, a wellspring of Elven strength the team can draw on when the darkness presses in from every side.
