Background
Long before he is crowned, Aragorn is Strider — a weather-worn ranger of the North who knows every hidden path in Eriador. He begins at the Weather Hills, the lonely highland of Amon Sûl that sits squarely across Frodo's earliest road out of the Shire. No hero is better placed to meet the Ring-bearer on that first perilous stretch and shepherd him toward safety.
As the story unfolds, Strider becomes the returning king: a rallying figure who draws the scattered armies of the Free Peoples together and leads them into battle. On the board he is your all-rounder — mobile enough to escort Frodo, martial enough to break shadow troops, and inspiring enough to hold the line where hope is thinnest.
